"Food is very good, portions are good, staff is friendly, turn around is fast. I do find the prices climbing fair steep over the years, this is ether impacted by their supplies have increased or beyond the curve of common inflation. I have been ordering from the Golden Wok for years and have seen pricing increasing a fair amount from only a few years ago. I eat there less because of this."

"I have previously submitted a review years back, however I have been a consistent customer of Golden Wok for many years. Being a creature of habit, my "go to" was the Combo 3. One would have a hard time getting through the dish in one seating. It includes Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken Balls, Ribs and Egg Roll. I was faithful to Combo 3 for years, until I found the chow mein & ribs were not consistent. However, Golden Wok will offer the option of more chicken balls in place of the ribs. Eventually I changed it up & have only ordered chicken balls as it comes with a side of rice. Egg rolls you pay for separately. I am loyal to Golden Wok, and have been for double digit years, lol. Staff are very pleasant & have also been with the family for years 2nd generation. In summary my preferences have changed over the years due to my own personal taste and years later my faviorate dish would be the Canton Noodles with Vegies, Shrimp and BBQ Pork and although I believe they have the best Chicken balls between 12 to 15 in an order, however there are times the batter has been different but certainly not enough to sway me from getting them. Lol...Golden Wok has been in business for years, and have proven they are worthy. Loyalty goes a long way when customers are loyal after many years. Me being one. Thank you Golden Wok for upholding your reputation for as many years as you have!"

"So far this is the best Chinese food we've had in Saint John. The food was fresh, tasty and the portions were generous. My wife and I both liked that the vegetables were not over cooked. I have to admit that this is only the second Chinese place we've tried in SJ in our first year here. The first place was so bad, we got a little gun shy - it had rave reviews on Trip Adviser. We talked to a lot of locals before we braved the waters a second time. We actually had a number of folks point us to a restaurant in Fredericton! Golden Wok was an absolutely refreshing experience. If you're looking for good value and good Cantonese style food, this is the place."

"The best chinese food in the city. Always hot, always fresh and the restaurant itself is spotless. The staff are extremely friendly. I love their combo 3 and their Canton chow mein. Prices are extremely good for the amount of food you get. Highly recommend"

"Just had a combo 2 and it was so good! Will definitely go back. Customer service was great. Food was ready in only a few minutes. This is now my goto place for chinese meal when I'm in Saint-John."
